01 — Introduction

An advisory practice for collectors of contemporary Irish art.

Foinse works privately with a small number of collectors, institutions and family offices to acquire, place and steward work by living Irish artists.

02 — Practice

We do not run a gallery. Foinse is an independent practice working between artist studios, collectors' homes and public institutions across Ireland.

Each engagement begins with a private conversation. Where there is a fit, we build a long-term relationship — researching, viewing, advising and arranging acquisitions discreetly on the collector's behalf.

03 — Artists

A considered roster of living artists working in Ireland.

The Foinse roster spans painters, sculptors, photographers and printmakers — at every stage of career, from recent graduates to established names held in national collections. We work alongside artists' galleries, never around them.

04 — How it works

Four stages, over months rather than weeks.

Step 01
Step 01

Conversation

Every engagement begins with an unhurried private conversation about taste, intent and any existing holdings. No obligation; no follow-up unless invited.

Step 02
Step 02

Research

We assemble a tailored shortlist of artists and works — drawn from the Foinse roster and from beyond it — calibrated to the collector's brief.

Step 03
Step 03

Viewing

Work is viewed privately: in the artist's studio, in the collector's home, or at the Foinse office in Dublin. Never in public.

Step 04
Step 04

Acquisition & stewardship

We manage acquisition end to end, then remain available for cataloguing, lending, conservation referrals and long-term resale advice.
